Lancaster University is investing further in its facilities and in 2011 will have the following new and exciting additions to offer to conference organisers.
LICA building – A performing arts building which will be ideal for conference and exhibition space. The Building will be built to the BREEAM 'outstanding' standards, and will be the first Higher Education building in the UK to reach such strict environmental targets for construction.
New sports centre. The state of the art facility will offer a 25 metre Swimming Pool with 8 lanes, Climbing Wall & Bouldering Cave, Health & Fitness Suites, Sauna & Steam Room, Multi-functional Space, Sports Hall with 8 badminton Courts, 4 Squash Courts and Outdoor Changing Facilities. The building has been designed to achieve
the BREEAM 'Excellent' rating, which sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design.
